Time

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.

Ecclesiates 3:1
Just some pictures of me as a baby, me and my sister, and some family pictures from the 1990’s ish

Time. As we all know, and there have been many quotes and writings about this, time is completely fleeting. You can’t control time as much you can’t control the wind. Yet as long as we breathe, we have time. Earlier this month my grandmother left this planet and woke up in Heaven. It’s been a tough time for my family, but there is peace in knowing that she is in a beautiful place where she can finally receive her eternal peace. This however made me think of time and the significance of it. As I was visiting my family in our home country I ran across this photo album. Although I don’t remember every little detail… I remember being a kid, playing outside with my sister and our friends, the fun times of halloween, celebrating birthdays, and thinking that I had a really long time. Now here I am decades later and I’m realizing how important it is to appreciate the time that I have left, what will I do with it? The passing of grandmother has made me think about how important it is to truly appreciate not just what we have, but who we have in our lives. Am I spending time with my family and creating awesome experiences? Or am I spending more time complaining about them and wishing they were different? Am I respecting and accepting my parents? Or am I arguing with them about some dumb disagreements? Am I showing love? Am I being present? Of course having boundaries with family members in all families is so important, but I believe that learning how to truly appreciate the people we love while we still have them, and appreciating our own life for who we are, is so incredibly important as well to having a fulfilling life. Seasons past, things change, God is always forever, but how are you spending your time? I hope this makes you think a little bit more about your life and what you wish to change, and I hope you as myself continue to learn how to love and value the people we have in our lives while we’re all still here. ❤️

Have a very blessed day and week ahead of you.
