Quiet, Peaceful, God Time

The news about Jesus spread even more. Large crowds gathered to hear him and have their diseases cured. But he would go away to places where he could be alone for prayer.

What does “God time” look like for you? For me, there are times when it looks just like the picture above, but lately it’s been looking like coffee, my bible app, my prayer list, a journal, and a pen. For Jesus it looked like it His God time was spent away from the disciples where He would go out alone and pray. All this to say that sometimes it’s okay to be alone and accept those moments or seasons in our lives. Our God time is so valuable because it allows us to hear one voice more clearly above all the other voices that speak around us on a regular basis. I have to admit I’m not as active as I was once in the church, but I do have little things I work on to make sure that I’m giving and doing my part in the body of Christ. Sometimes we have to be real with ourselves to ask how is my relationship with God doing? I believe that how Jesus separated from the group to regroup, it’s also important for us to do the same. Going to a good and healthy Godly church is a blessing, but we should also be reading our bibles at home ourselves. When I was serving at church I had many voices with great intentions speaking into my life, but it was hard to know which voice was the Lord’s. I have grown to love and appreciate my time with God even more now because I feel more peace in being able to know who God is, and that’s mostly because of my regular bible time. So I hope that you will also set that time apart to open your bible read and listen to Him yourself. Honestly it can be such a peaceful time and will make a difference in your day, and later you’ll realize how much it has impacted your life… You can start small with just 5 mins a day of prayer and a verse in the morning and let God grow you from there. I know there will be a day where I’ll be more active in the church community and it’ll be the right timing, but for now I’m happy to spend my beautiful God time learning with a small bible study group, my bible app, my prayer list, a journal, and a pen.

Have a blessed week.

God bless you.
