Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 New Kings James Version
Faith. Such a tricky subject. How many of us truly believe that we have faith? How many of us actually walk in it? What is faith? Well according to this scripture Faith is “substance of things hoped for, and evidence of things not seen.” Hmm… very interesting. Two things that stick out to me here is Faith being described as a hope and then evidence (which to me means a confidence, or an assurance) of what we cannot see.. Okay so then how many times do we walk back, look away or refrain from our true calling, just because we don’t necessarily see the evidence? Or maybe we just don’t have enough hope? Either way, the conclusion and the instrument behind faith is something so simple. Like Jesus says, faith is just as small as a mustard seed. With faith that small you can tell the mountains to move and they will move. Will we dare to hope in the confidence and evidence of things that we are only hoping for? Will we? I believe as a Daughter of the Most High, that’s not an option.. it’s a command. So yes I will. Not always perfectly, sometimes afraid, most times afraid, but hey faith as big a mustard seed can move those mountains right?
Have a blessed week.
