Psalm 59:16-17

But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with you about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress, O my strength, to you I sign praises, for you O God, are my refuge, the God who shows me unfailing love.

God takes us to unexpected places sometimes. Sometimes we know where we are going, other times we don’t, but every time we can TRUST God. Throughout the past few years I’ve been learning more and more about God’s faithfulness. His faithfulness is not always what I think it’s going to look like. Many times I want to hear God’s yes and then I fail to miss all the little ways He has already blessed me.. especially when there’s a shut door, or a maybe no, or a wait. During those times it’s hard to sing about His power, quite frankly it’s hard for me to even know that He has power. Or to grasp his unfailing love. Those hard days it’s hard to feel like I am loved or loveable. Or when I feel like I’m hitting a rock bottom, or being tempted to go to other things other than God for refuge and salvation, it’s hard to feel that I am safe, or that He is enough, but just like this scripture says we can trust that God will always be our unfailing love, our power, our strength, and our refuge. So we should PRAISE Him through the good, bad, or the ugly, cause really think about it.. what else are we going to do?
