When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn.
Psalm 142:3

As David writes this in the book of Psalms he’s crying out to God letting him know that he’s overwhelmed and he’s not sure of where he’s going but he is sure of who is leading him. This makes me think of how many times in my own life I have been so confused and uncertain of what I’m doing. To be honest I can’t say that I have “found myself.” I know that through social media and maybe even our own upbringing many people feel this pressure of needing to know what they’re going to do, who they are, and feeling confident in life in general. The reality is however, that life doesn’t come with a map that tells us this is exactly what we need to do in order to be happy, successful, great. Happiness and success can look different to many people. To God however, he did give us a Bible to help us get through life’s challenges and obstacles. For me knowing that someone as great as king David was still facing challenges and obstacles and still trusted God with his life makes me feel more confident in God’s plans for me. While I may not “know myself ” or know what path that God wants me to take, I do know who I am. And that is something that I constantly have to remind myself whenever I am feeling the most confused. I am God’s daughter. And for you reading this if you are saved and a believer in Christ you are God’s child. So there is no reason for you not to have hope in your life. If you are not a believer yet or don’t feel like you’re religious or Christian it’s OK. God uses the Holy Spirit and many people and things in your life to touch you in a personal way and he still loves and cares for you too. All of this to say as always if you’re having a hard time in your life, if you’re feeling confused or unsure about yourself or who you are, just know that there is always hope.
Have an awesome and blessed day and week ahead of you.
