Fix your eyes on Jesus, he gives us faith

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

Have you ever thought about how having true faith means feeling fear and do it anyway? Or have you ever noticed that when life is hard, it’s way easier to complain or worry than to praise God and be grateful for everything in our lives. To rejoice because we have faith as we rest and set our eyes on Jesus? I’ve been realizing lately that in order to have peace and joy in my life I must trust God and fix my eyes on Jesus. With everything that I have I must fix my eyes on him. Does this mean that I’m perfect? Or that I’ll never complain? Or grumble? Or have any worries? Not at all. But it does mean that I have an anchor and a perspective to fix my thoughts, (eyes) on and that I rest knowing that He is with me and His plans are being fulfilled through me simply trusting God. Jesus is the one that perfects my faith and my thoughts rest on Him.

Dear God,

I’m praying for whoever is reading this right now to rest their eyes on You. I pray that they will have faith, confidence and reassurance, according to Hebrews 11:1 that you are with them and they are loved.

In Jesus’ Name.

Your Daughter. Amanda.
