Unempty

I am unempty,

Sometimes empty,

Sometimes full, but mostly unempty.

God holds me by the right hand and tells me do not be afraid.

Isaiah 41:13

To me, to be umempty means I’m not sure what it’s like to feel fully at peace with my identity rooted in Christ, if I’m being honest. But I do know that God is with me through all the circumstances and situations of my life. The umempty ones too. And I think that’s how I would describe the process towards wholeness. Accepting the hallow and being okay with the unempty.
