Ethical

So there are many reasons why anyone should go vegan. To start with I think the most important part of going vegan is learning about the ethical reasons why. Yes our ancestors ate meat and in the bible it doesn’t say that we shouldn’t stop eating meat, the bible does mention that we can eat meat as long as we bless it and that meat eaters or vegans or vegetarians shouldn’t judge each other.. (I’m guilty of both), but I personally believe and I believe that the bible also backs this up.. the way we treat the animals is not okay. Therefore taking a stand against animal cruelty is something that we should all look into. The only problem is that if you don’t care about something you won’t make the change. What got to me was watching the documentary earthlings. This is a free documentary that will show you how animals are treated for different reasons and will make it easier for you to make the change.

Environmental

So now that we have that foundation covered, which I understand not everyone is going to agree and people will have different about this depending on how you were raised and see the world, but the next reason why you should go vegan, or at least look into living a more animal free lifestyle is for the environment. There are plenty of evidence that proves global climate change is caused by the feed we feed animals. A great documentary to watch on this is called Cowspiracy and you can watch it on Netflix. Health

And then of course… last but not least… if you don’t really care about animals, not really an environmental person either, then you should go vegan for your health. So the top ten diseases in America are caused by our consumption of animal products. There are many resources and information that backs this up.. but since we are going with documentaries you can watch What the Health and Forks Over Knives both on Netflix. There are many books that will also support the evidence proven that a whole food plant based diet is the healthiest diet to live, but like I said since we’re going with documentaries these are some great ones to watch.
